After choosing your allegiance in free flash game Black Sails, you have to embark on conquering a new world in a new age. You must capture all the towns on the map to win. You can navigate around to different towns and on the open seas. You will be challenged by nations and other savages. If you accept, you will enter battle mode. You can engage towns to try to capture them, But they are heavily guarded and you are advised to build up crew and guns. Or you can simply go into a town for trade. In this online game for free you can enter any town to buy resources and upgrade your ship and her cannons. There are 4 types of buildings which you can enter:
- Tavern: to hire more crew (more crew means higher chance of winning "Abordage" fights and faster ship repairs);
- Shipyard: to upgrade your ships cannons or buy a new ship. Upgraded cannons are more powerful and have more range;
- Trade Center: buy more ammo for the cannons, swords and guns;
- Castle: to buy a new contract and serve a new king. To change your nation or allegiance.
Battle mode: when you want to fight a ship, you enter the Battle Mode. Here you can fight up to 2 enemy ships. You can even fight your own countrymen, but then you will be labeled as a Pirate.
The enemy ships you fight with in flash games will vary in size and ability. You can destroy the enemy ships completely, or you can Board the ship and fight hand to hand - Abordage. To perform an abordage, ram the middle of the enemy ship and your crew will start fighting. The outcome of an abordage depends on crew and sword numbers.
You can upgrade cannon range for increased firing distance from the town. Sometimes you may have to search for the enemy ship in the battle map. If you click on retreat you will lose your ship and downgrade to a small boat. After winning an abordage, you can take the enemy ship or leave with your ship.
